BAFS 2026

17th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Balkan Academy of Forensic Sciences

Dear Esteemed Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce that the 17th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Balkan Academy of Forensic Sciences (BAFS) will be taking place alongside the 24th Triennial Meeting of the International Association of Forensic Sciences (IAFS) in Sofia, Bulgaria, May 25–30, 2026. This joint event reflects our commitment to regional collaboration and scientific exchange across borders.

The BAFS meeting provides a unique forum for professionals from the region and beyond to exchange ideas, present research, and strengthen cooperation in forensic science. As part of IAFS 2026, this meeting highlights the growing contribution of the Balkan region to the global forensic community. BAFS attendees will also have full access to the IAFS program—promoting interdisciplinary dialogue and integration across specialties.

We look forward to welcoming you in Sofia for this exceptional opportunity to connect with international colleagues, explore the latest developments in forensic science, and take part in both global and regional discussions shaping the future of our field.
